Complete List of Zombie Movies

There are all sorts of zombie movies, from romance to slasher and western to time travel. Could a zombie apocalypse happen? We don’t know, but we’ve compiled a complete zombie movie list for you to binge on the living dead from dawn till dusk and dusk till dawn. There is a movie in this list for every member of the family, from Scooby Doo for the youngest viewers to some “sexy” themed zombie thrillers.

We’ve also included several TV series in the bunch. Really, what’s a zombie list without The Walking Dead in it?

Of course, this list can never be completed because new films are constantly being made about these creatures that we all love to hate.

Although there are over 600 titles listed (to start), it’s certain we have missed many more. If you know of one that we missed, let us know in the comments and we’ll add it. This is a living an undead list, so it is never really finished.

28 Days Later (2002) Animal activists release chimpanzees from a lab which triggers the zombie apocalypse in London. Directed by Danny Boyle. Starring Cillian Murphy, Naomie Harris, and Christopher Eccleston.

28 Hours Later: The Zombie Movie (2010) The zombie apocalypse occurs in the middle of filming a zombie movie in this movie directed by Daniel M. Seibert. Starring Kate Archer, Pat Bulger, and Clancy Bundy. 

28 Weeks Later (2007) The Rage Virus infects London. A safe zone is compromised when siblings set out to find their infected mother. Directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo. Starring Robert Carlyle, Rose Byrne, and Jeremy Renner.

2012: Zombie Apocalypse (2011) The VM2 virus becomes a global pandemic, killing 90% of the population. Directed by Nick Lyon and starring Ving Rhames, Gary Weeks, and Johnny Pacar. 


Aaah! Zombies!! (AKA Wasting Away) (2007) A comedy from the viewpoint of the zombies directed by Matthew Kohnen and starring Matthew Davis, Julianna Robinson, and Michael Grant Terry. 

Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies (2012) Zombie hunter and president Abraham Lincoln must save the country from the Confederacy, both the living and the dead. Directed by Richard Schenkman and starring Bill Oberst Jr., Kent Igleheart, and Rhianna Van Helton. 

After Death (AKA Zombie Flesh Eaters 3) (1989) An Italian movie where a young girl’s idol is the only thing that will protect the crew of a ship from the zombies on the island. Starring Jeff Stryker and Candice Daly and directed by Claudio Fragasso. 

After Sundown (2006) You’ll get a vampire western with a touch of zombie townsfolk in this movie directed by Christopher Abram and Michael W. Brown and starring Susana Gibb, Reece Rios, and Natalie Jones.

Alien Dead (1980) After a meteor hits a houseboat, alligators aren’t enough for these hungry zombies. Directed by Fred Olen Ray with Buster Crabbe and Raymond Roberts.

All Souls Day (2005) The spirits of an ancient Aztec temple demand human sacrifice and someone is happy to oblige. Starring Marisa Ramirez and Travis Wester and directed by Jeremy Kasten.

The Amazing Adventures of the Living Corpse (2012) A zombie recognizes his family and comes to his senses. Travis Wester directed this animated 3D film and it stars Michael Villar, Marshall Hilton, and Ryan McGivern.

American Zombie (2007) Do you want to know how the other half live? Take a look at the daily activities of the undead community in Los Angeles. Directed by Grace Lee. Starring Austin Basis, Jane Edith Wilson, and Al Vicente. 

Anger of the Dead (2015) A pregnant woman battles for survival after a virus turns the population into zombies. Directed by Francesco Picone and starring Aaron Stielstra, Michael Segal, and Marius Bizau.

Anna and the Apocalypse (2017) High school senior Anna Shepard gets more than she bargains for during a zombie outbreak in this Christmas musical directed by John McPhail. Stars include Ella Hunt, Malcolm Cumming, Marli Siu, and Sarah Swire.

Anonymous Zombie (2018) Addicts in rehab consume the drugs that get snuck in. Life is good – until the farm becomes infested with undead. Directed by Richard MacQueen.

Another World (2014) Biological warfare leaves few survivors who battle against the infected for survival. Directed by Eitan Reuven. Starring Michael Birinbaum, and Shlomi Aviner.

April Apocalypse (2013) Artie wakes up after a car crash to find zombies have taken over the world. Jarret Tarnol directs. This movie stars Reece Thompson, Rebekah Brandes, and Brent Tarnol. 

Army of Darkness (1992) Ash Williams is stuck in the Middle Ages and must defeat the zombie horde to return to his own time. It’s the third installment in the Evil Dead series directed by Sam Raimi and stars Bruce Campbell and Embeth Davidtz.

The Astro-Zombies (1968) A disgruntled scientist creates a creature from body parts taken from murder victims and it gets loose. Directed by Ted V. Mikels and starring John Carradine, Wendell Corey and Tura Satana. 

Attack of the Herbals (2011) A mysterious crate of herbs turns people into zombies when they drink the addictive tea made by two promising entrepreneurs. Directed by David Ryan Keith. Starring Calum Booth, Steve Worsley, and Richard Currie.

Automaton Transfusion (2006) It’s high school seniors to the rescue when undead government experiments escape the facility. Directed by Steven C. Miller. Starring Garrett Jones, Juliet Reeves, and William Howard Bowman.

Autumn (2009) A school teacher must find a way for civilization to reform after a virus wipes out 99% of the population. Based on the book Autumn by David Moody. Directed by Steven Rumbelow and starring Dexter Fletcher, Dickon Tolson, David Carradine. 


Baron Blood (AKA The Horrors of Castle Nuremberg) (1972) An Italian movie directed by Mario Bava where the cursed and reanimated Baron Otto Von Kleist must be stopped. Starring Joseph Cotten, Elke Sommer and Massimo Girotti.

Bath Salt Zombies (2013) Concentrated bath salts create zombies in this film directed by Dustin Mills, starring Josh Eal, Ethan Holey, and Jackie McKown.

Batoru gâru: Tokyo Crisis Wars (AKA Battle Girl: The Living Dead in Tokyo Bay) (1991) A toxic cloud caused by a meteorite turns the citizens of Tokyo into zombies. Directed by Kazuo ‘Gaira’ Komiz and starring Katsuhiro Fukuda, Toshiya Ito, Shinobu Kandori. 

The Battery (2012) Two former baseball players attempt to survive the zombie apocalypse in New England. Starring Zachary Rodriguez and Adam Cronheim. Directed by Jeremy Gardner.

Battle of the Damned (2013) Humans and robots team up to fight the undead. Directed by Christopher Hatton and starring Dolph Lundgren, Melanie Zanetti, and Matt Doran.

Battle of the Undead (2014) A security specialist takes one last mission: capture a terrorist in Lebanon. He quickly discovers the mission isn’t so easy. Directed by Eitan Gafny.

Battlefield Baseball (AKA Hell Stadium) (2003) High school baseball players, bats, balls and martial arts are the focus of this Japanese zombie movie. Directed by Yūdai Yamaguchi. Starring Tak Sakaguchi, Atsushi Itō, and Hideo Sakaki.

Before Dawn (2013) A couple’s vacation is ruined by the undead. Directed by Dominic Brunt. Starring Dominic Brunt, Joanne Mitchell, and Eileen O’Brien.

Beneath the Surface (2007) A high school student uses voodoo to resurrect the girl he has a crush on in this movie directed by Blake Reigle, starring Kyle Stanley, Dominique Geisendorff, and Christian Munden.

Beverly Hills Bodysnatchers (1989) A mortician and a doctor team up to reanimate corpses, financed by the mafia. Directed by Jonathan Mostow. Starring Vic Tayback, Frank Gorshin, and Art Metrano. 

Beverly Lane (2010) Zombies attack during an office retirement party in this movie starring Jim O’Rear, Noah East and Raymond Kester and directed by Joshua Hull.

The Beyond (1981) A woman inherits a hotel in Louisiana which sits on one of the gateways of hell. Zombies, spiders, and bleeding paintings add to the horror in this Italian movie directed by Lucio Fulci and starring Katherine MacColl, David Warbeck, and Sarah Keller.

Beyond Re-Animator (2003) In the third installment in the Re-Animator film series, Dr. Herbert West continues his zombie experimentation in prison. Directed by Brian Yuzna. Starring Jeffrey Combs, Tommy Dean Musset, and Jason Barry.

Big Tits Zombie (AKA Big Tits Dragon: Hot Spring Zombie vs. Stripper 5) Strippers play around with necromancy spells and bring back the dead in this 3D film directed by Takao Nakano. Starring Sola Aoi, Risa Kasumi, and Mari Sakurai.

Biker Zombies from Detroit (2001) These murderous, drug dealing biker zombies from Detroit aren’t interested in flesh eating but world dominance. Starring Tyrus Woodson, Jillian Buckshaw, and Joshua Allan. Directed by Todd Brunswick. 

Bio Zombie (1998) A bioweapon gets into a soda drunk by a Chinese government agent and turns into a zombie in this film directed by Wilson Yip, starring Jordan Chan, Sam Lee, and Angela Tong.

Biohazardous (2001) Ex-Nazi scientists have been creating zombies in small town America. Directed by Michael J. Hein. Starring Sprague Grayden, David Garver, and Al Thompson.

Bite Me (2010) In this TV series, gamers must battle zombies and save the world after the zombie apocalypse, starring Yousef Abu-Taleb, Justin Giddings, and Ryan Patrick Welsh. 

The Black Death (AKA Phi Ha Ayodhaya) (2015) The plague brought to Thailand in 1565 by traders turned people into zombies. Directed by Chalermchatri Yukol. Starring Chaat Arthachinta, Apa Bhavilai, and Narucha Chaimareung.  

Black Demons (1991) Voodoo-created zombies attack a Brazilian plantation. Directed by Umberto Lenzi. Starring Keith Van Hoven, Joe Balogh, and Sonia Curtis. 

Bled White (2009) Survival is tough after the zombie apocalypse. Directed by Jose Carlos Gomez. Starring North Roberts, Matthew E. Prochazka, and Colleen Irene Boag. 

Block Z (2020) University students try to survive the zombie apocalypse in the Philippines in this movie directed by Mikhail Red, starring Julia Barretto, Yves Flores, and Myrtle Sarrosa.

Blood Creek (2009) Watch out for the Nazi necromancer in this file directed by Joel Schumacher, starring Henry Cavill, Dominic Purcell, and Emma Booth.

Blood Moon Rising (2009) A comic book collector and a hippie are unlikely warriors. Directed by Brian Skiba. Starring Laurie Love, Ron Jeremy, and  Aaron Neal Trout.

Blood Moon Rising: Lucy’s Revenge (2013) Some filmmakers are in an old west ghost town shooting a zombie film when an ancient curse spills over into the world of the living. Werewolves, vampires, and zombies – oh my!

Blood of Ghastly Horror (1967) A voodoo witch doctor brings his zombie creation to avenge the death of his son. Directed by Al Adamson. Starring John Carradine, Kent Taylor, and Tommy Kirk.

Blood Quantum (2019) Native Americans are immune to the zombie plague and white folk clamor for refuge on the reservation. Starring Michael Greyeyes, Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers, and Forrest Goodluck. Directed by Jeff Barnaby. 

Blood Suckers from Outer Space (1984) A mysterious mist/energy field turns Texans into zombies. Directed by Glen Coburn. Starring Thom Meyers, Dennis Letts, and Laura Ellis.

Bone Sickness (2004) The cure for brittle bone disease turns patients into zombies. Directed by Brian Paulin. Starring Darya Zabinski, Ruby Larocca, and Rich George.

Bong of the Dead (2011) Two potheads figure a way to turn the zombies into fertilizer in this movie directed by Thomas Newman, and starring Simone Bailly, Mark Sweatman, and Jy Harris.

Bong of the Living Dead (2019) Five potheads get to fulfill their lifelong dream to see the zombie apocalypse, but they quickly realize it’s not all fun and mall raids.

The Book of Zombie (2010) All the Mormons in a small town in Utah become zombies. Directed by Paul Cranefield and Scott Kragelund. Starring Brian Ibsen, Larisa Peters, and Andrew Loviska.

Bowery at Midnight (1942) Bela Lugosi is a professor who runs a soup kitchen as a front for criminal activities and corpse reanimation. Directed by Wallace Fox. Starring Bela Lugosi and John Archer. 

Boy Eats Girl (2005) An Irish teen’s unrequited love causes his death, but his mother brings him back using voodoo. Starring Samantha Mumba, David Leon, and Tadhg Murphy. Directed by Stephen Bradley. 

Brain Blockers (2007) A college professor turns his students into zombies with an experimental drug. Directed by Lincoln Kupchak. Starring Timmi Cragg and Edwin Craig.

Brain Dead (2007) Sorority girls, escaped convicts and born-again Christians team up to battle the dead after a meteorite deposits an alien slug in someone’s brain, triggering the zombie apocalypse. Directed by Kevin S. Tenney. Starring Joshua Benton, Sarah Grant Brendecke, and Michelle Tomlinson.

Brain Dead (2010) A motley crew of characters stumble into a deserted fishing lodge and become attacked by zombie fishermen.

Braindead (AKA Dead Alive) (1992) A rabid Sumatran rat-monkey turns the residents of Newtown, New Zealand into zombies. Starring Timothy Balme, Diana Peñalver, and Elizabeth Moody and directed by Peter Jackson. 

Bride of Re-Animator (1990) Dr. Herbert West and Dr. Dean Cain create the perfect dead woman in this sequel to the Re-Animator. Starring Jeffrey Combs, Bruce Abbott, and Claude Earl Jones.  Directed by Brian Yuzna. 

Broken Springs (AKA Broken Springs: Shine of the Undead Zombie Bastards and 101 Zombies) (2008) Tainted moonshine turns everyone into zombies. Starring Teague Quillen, Travis Moody, and Brandon Jenkins and directed by Neeley Lawson.

Bubba’s Chili Parlor (2008) A diner in Texas serves mad cow infected chili and turns everyone into zombies. Directed by Joey Evans. Starring Mike Davis, Camille Rocha, and Audrey Elizabeth Evans.

Bunker of the Dead (2016) Two friends use an old Jewish diary to gain access to a WWII underground military base. Guess what they find…

Burial Ground: The Nights of Terror (AKA Nights of Terror, Zombi Horror, The Zombie Dead and Zombie 3) (1985) An ancient Etruscan curse reanimates the dead in this Italian film directed by Andrea Bianchi. Starring Karin Well, Gianluigi Chirizzi, and Simone Mattioli.

The Burning Dead (AKA Volcano Zombies) (2015) Dead cannibals are reanimated by a volcanic eruption. Directed by Rene Perez. Starring Tom Downey, Moniqua Plante, and Danny Trejo.

Burying The Ex (2014) A Satan Genie takes a lover’s vow to be together forever seriously and reanimates the ex-girlfriend. Directed by Joe Dante. Starring Anton Yelchin, Ashley Greene, and Alexandra Daddario.


Cargo (2017) The zombie apocalypse in Australia with a houseboat and a baby. Directed by Ben Howling and Yolanda Ramke. Starring Martin Freeman, Simone Landers, and Anthony Hayes.

The Cabin in the Woods (2012) A group of college students go on vacation in a cabin in the woods and summon a family of zombies unaware that they are being observed by scientists in an underground laboratory. Directed by Drew Goddard and starring Kristen Connolly, Chris Hemsworth, and Anna Hutchison.

Caustic Zombies (2011) The nuclear accident at Three Mile Island creates zombies in Pennsylvania. Directed by Johnny Daggers. Starring Aleesha Asper, Greg Wainwright, and Jake Hursh. 

Cemetery Man (AKA Dellamorte Dellamore)(1994) The cemetery caretaker dispatches the dead that rise seven days after burial.  Starring Rupert Everett, François Hadji-Lazaro, and Anna Falchi.  Directed by Michele Soavi. 

Cell (2016) Cell phone users turn into zombies in this movie based on Steven King’s novel Cell. Directed by Tod Williams. Starring John Cusack, Samuel L. Jackson, and Isabelle Fuhrman.

The Children (AKA The Children of Ravensback) (1980) A toxic yellow cloud turns five children into zombies that can zap anything or anyone they touch. Directed by Max Kalmanowicz. Starring Martin Shakar, Gil Rogers, and Gale Garnett.

Children of the Living Dead (2001) A murderer leads the undead on a rampage and comes back when a cemetery is moved. Directed by Tor Ramsey. Starring Tom Savini, Marty Schiff, and Damien Luvara.

Children Shouldn’t Play with Dead Things (1972) A group of theater friends dig up a body and use it in a Satanic ritual, bringing it back to life. Directed by Bob Clark and starring Alan Ormsby, Valerie Mamches, and Jeff Gillen.  

Choking Hazard (2004) A group of people trying to find the meaning of life are attached by a Bohemian zombie. Starring Jan Dolanský, Jaroslav Dusek, and Eva Nádazdyová and directed by Marek Dobes. 

Christmas with the Dead (2012) An electrical storm turns residents of a small Texas town into zombies. Based on the short story with the same name by Joe R. Lansdale. Directed by Terrill Lee Lankford. Starring Damian Maffei, Brad Maule, and Kasey Lansdale.

Chopper Chicks in Zombietown (1989) Female bikers stand between the town and zombies. Directed by Dan Hoskins. Starring Jamie Rose, Catherine Carlen, and Lycia Naff. 

C.H.U.D. (1984) Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers live in the sewers after having been mutated by radioactive, chemical toxic waste. Directed by Douglas Cheek and starring John Heard, Daniel Stern, and Christopher Curry.

C.H.U.D. II: Bud the C.H.U.D. (1989) Bud is a sewer dwelling creature, housed by the CDC in a small town where he is stolen by teenagers and reawakened. Directed by David Irving. Starring Brian Robbins, Tricia Leigh Fisher, Bianca Jagger.

City of Rott (2006) Earth’s water supply has been contaminated by parasites in this animated zombie film directed by Frank Sudol.

City of Rott 2 (2014) The saga continues in the sequel to City of Rott directed by Frank Sudol. 

City of the Living Dead (1980) (AKA Paura nella città dei morti viventi) A psychic and a reporter must close the Gates of Hell before more zombies rise in this Italian film directed by Lucio Fulci. Starring Christopher George, Catriona MacColl, and Carlo De Mejo. 

Cockneys vs Zombies (2012) Bank robbers must battle their way out of zombie infested London. Directed by Matthias Hoene. Starring Rasmus Hardiker, Harry Treadaway, and Michelle Ryan.

Colin (2008) See the world through Colin’s eyes and discover what it means to be a zombie in the suburbs during the zombie apocalypse. Starring Alastair Kirton, Daisy Aitkens, and Leanne Pammen. Directed by Marc Price. 

Collapse (2011) A farmer whose daughter died recently and is in danger of losing his farm now must survive the zombie apocalypse. Directed by Jason Bolinger and Mike Saunders and starring Chris Mulkey, Karen Landry, and Travis Slade Reinders. 

Contracted (2013) A woman contracts a virus after being raped and becomes a zombie. Directed by Eric England. Starring Najarra Townsend, Caroline Williams and Alice Macdonald.

Contracted: Phase II (2015) The zombie STD has infected another person who attempts to find the original carrier in this sequel to Contracted directed by Josh Forbes. Starring Matt Mercer, Marianna Palka, and Morgan Peter Brown.

Cooties (2014) Chicken nuggets turn the kids at an elementary school into zombies. Directed by Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion. Starring Daniel Noah, Josh C. Waller, and Elijah Wood.

Corpses Are Forever (2004) Mankind’s only hope against the zombies has amnesia. Directed by Jose Prendes. Starring Richard Lynch, Brinke Stevens, and Debbie Rochon.

Creature with the Atom Brain (1955) A Nazi scientist uses radiation to bring the dead back to life. Starring Richard Denning and directed by Edward L. Cahn. 

Creepshow (1982) Comic books and voodoo make an interesting combination in this series of short stories directed by George A. Romero and starring Hal Holbrook, Adrienne Barbeau, and Fritz Weaver.

The Crypt (2018) Grave robbers break into some catacombs and come face to face with the undead. Directed by Craig McMahon. Starring Sarah Oh, Seth Gandrud, and Abra May. 

The Cured (2018) A virus sweeps Europe that turns people into zombies. A cure is found but it isn’t effective on everyone. Directed by David Freyne. Starring Ellen Page, Sam Keeley, and Tom Vaughan-Lawlor.

Curse of the Maya (AKA Dawn of the Living Dead and Evil Grave: Curse of the Maya) (2004) Ancient Maya zombies seek revenge. Directed by David Heavener. Starring Amanda Baumann, Joe Estevez, and Todd Bridges.


Dance of the Dead (2008) High school misfits must save the prom from zombies. Directed by Gregg Bishop. Starring Jared Kusnitz, Greyson Chadwick, Chandler Darby. 

Darkest Day (2017) A man wakes up on a beach with amnesia. He finds his city is empty, ravaged by a deadly disease. Then he finds the military is hunting him for the cure.

Dawn of the Dead (1978) (AKA Zombi) Survivors of the zombie apocalypse take refuge inside a shopping mall. Directed by George A. Romero. Starring David Emge, Ken Foree, and Scott Reiniger.  

Dawn of the Dead (2004) A remake of the original Dawn of the Dead (1978). Survivors of the zombie apocalypse take refuge inside a shopping mall in Everett, Wisconsin. Directed by Zack Snyder and starring Sarah Polley, Ving Rhames, and Jake Weber.

Dawn of the Mummy (1981) An Egyptian curse brings back the pharaoh and his servants when his tomb is broken into. Starring Brenda Siemer Scheider, Barry Sattels, and George Peck and directed by Frank Agrama.

Dawning of the Dead (2017) A group of survivors fight their way through the undead to escape with their lives – or die trying.

Day of the Dead (1985) Directed by George A. Romero, this is the third in his series which includes Dawn of the Dead (1978) and Night of the Living Dead. Starring Lori Cardille, Terry Alexander and Joe Pilato. Survivors of the zombie apocalypse take refuge in underground bunkers and barraricaded camps.

Day of the Dead (2008) A loose remake of Romero’s Day of the Dead (1985) directed by Steve Miner. Starring Mena Suvari, Nick Cannon, and Ving Rhames. 

Day of the Dead: Bloodline (2018) Based on the characters from Romero’s Day of the Dead (1985). Directed by Hèctor Hernández Vicens and starring Johnathon Schaech, Sophie Skelton, and Jeff Gum. The survivors of a zombie apocalypse at High Rock Emergency Bunker have lost contact with other bases. A partially zombified man may hold the key to a vaccine. 

Day of the Dead 2: Contagium (2005) An unofficial prequel to Romero’s Day of the Dead (1985) directed by Ana Clavell and James Dudelson. Starring Justin Ipock, Laurie Maria Baranyay, and John F. Henry III. The zombie virus origins are Russian when in 1968 a vial from a military hospital was stolen and lost in the woods. 

Days of Darkness (2007) Survivors of an alien parasite zombie apocalypse take shelter in an abandoned military base. Directed by Jake Kennedy and starring Tom Eplin, Sabrina Gennarino, and Travis Brorsen.

The Dead (2011) The only survivor of the last evacuation flight from Africa that crashed must make his way across the continent battling zombies. Directed by Howard J. Ford and Jon Ford. Starring Rob Freeman, Prince David Osei, and David Dontoh.

The Dead 2 (2014) The sequel to this sweet zombie apocalypse film, The Dead. The infection spreads!

The Dead and the Damned (AKA Cowboys & Zombies) (2010) Starring David Lockhard, Camille Montgomery, and Rick Mora and directed by Rene Perez. A meteorite brings the zombie virus during the California Gold Rush. 

The Dead and the Damned 2 (AKA The Dead, the Damned, and the Darkness and Tom Sawyer vs Zombies) (2014) In the sequel to The Dead and the Damned (2010) Lt. Colonel Tom Sawyer and a girl fight for survival after the zombie apocalypse. Directed by Rene Perez. Starring Richard Tyson, Raven Lexy, and Jenny Allford.

Dead & Breakfast (2004) Zombies attack a bed and breakfast in Texas in this movie directed by Matthew Leutwyler, starring Ever Carradine, Gina Philips, and Erik Palladino.

Dead & Buried (1981) Photo-happy tourists are murdered by the townsfolk and come back from the dead. Directed by Gary Sherman. Starring James Farentino, Melody Anderson, and Jack Albertson.

Kud Krachak Krien (AKA Zombie Fighters)(2017) A group of pre-teens find that the hospital is the epicenter of a zombie virus outbreak. This is the first Thai zombie movie produced. Directed by Poj Arnon and starring Bhuvadol Vejvongsa, Kittipat Samantrakulchai, Korakrit Laotrakul, and Worrachai Sirikongsuwan.

Kung Fu Zombie (AKA Wu long tian shi zhao ji gui) (1981) Bad guys want to kill Billy Chong. You’ll find criminals, zombies, vampires and a Taoist wizard and some kung fu in this Chinese film directed by Shan Hua. Starring Billy Chong, Lau Chan, and Kang-Yeh Cheng.

Pushin’ Up Daisies (2010) A zombie outbreak interrupts a film crew’s documentary about a flower delivery man in George. Starring Sheehan O’Heron, Orlando Vicente, and Simon Sorrells and directed by Patrick Franklin.

Ravenous (AKA Les Affamés) (2017) The zombie apocalypse in rural Quebec. Directed by Robin Aubert. Starring Marc-André Grondin, Monia Chokri, and Brigitte Poupart.

Re-Animator (AKA H. P. Lovecraft’s Re-Animator) (1985) The first film in the Re-animator series, this movie is followed by Bride of Re-Animator (1990) and Beyond Re-Animator (2003). A medical student invents a reanimating agent and brings his professor back from the dead. Directed by Stuart Gordon. Starring Bruce Abbott, Barbara Crampton, and David Gale.

REC (2007) A found-footage film that follows the firefighter intervention of an apartment building in Barcelona, Spain that is full of zombies as filmed by a journalist and her cameraman. Directed by Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza. Starring Manuela Velasco, Ferrán Terraza, and Jorge-Yamam Serrano.

REC 2 (2009) A second found-footage film in the same apartment building, this time through the perspective of a medical officer and a GEO team. Starring Jonathan D. Mellor, Manuela Velasco, and Óscar Zafra. Directed by Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza. 

REC 3: Genesis (2012) The viral infection from the Barcelona apartment building has spread. Wedding guests become infected miles away. Directed by Paco Plaza. Starring Leticia Dolera, Diego Martín, Ismael Martínez.

REC 4: Apocalypse (2014) The final installment of the REC series, brings back the journalist from the first REC movie who is now on a ship with an infected monkey on the loose. Directed by Jaume Balagueró. Starring Manuela Velasco, Paco Manzanedo, and Hector Colome.  

Redcon-1 (AKA Redcon-1 – Army of the Dead) (2018) A British-American special forces team attempts to rescue a scientist from a horde of zombies that can fight back. Directed by Chee Keong Cheung and starring Katarina Waters. 

Redneck Zombies (1989) Radioactive waste is mixed into moonshine turning anyone who drinks it into zombies in this film directed by Pericles Lewnes and starring Steve Sooy, Anthony M. Carr, and Ken Davis.

Reel Zombies (2008) Filmmakers find that their zombie movies aren’t profitable after the zombie apocalypse. Starring and directed by David J. Francis and Mike Masters. This movie follows Zombie Night (2003) and Zombie Night 2: Awakening (2006).

Re-Kill (2015) After the zombie apocalypse, a special unit has been created to clear out areas. A TV crew follows the unit around and films their actions, like Cops for the undead. Directed by Valeri Milev. Starring Bruce Payne, Daniella Alonso, and Roger Cross. 

Remains (AKA Steve Niles’ Remains) (2011) Survivors of a nuclear disaster that turned most everyone into zombies take refuge in a Reno casino. Based on the comic book by Steve Niles, this movie is directed by Colin Theys and stars Miko Hughes, Lance Reddick, and Grant Bowler.  

Resident Evil (2002) This movie is based on the video game series by Capcom. Alice has amnesia and wakes up in a mansion she doesn’t recognize. The T-virus infected those that worked in an underground lab beneath Racoon City. Alice and her crew attempt to contain the spread of the virus. Directed by Paul W. S. Anderson. Starring Milla Jovovich, Michelle Rodriguez, and Eric Mabius.

Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010) In part four of the Resident Evil series, Alice joins a group of survivors living in a prison who are looking for a safe haven in Arcadia. Directed by Paul W.S. Anderson and starring Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter, and Wentworth Miller. 

Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) In part two of the Resident Evil series, Alice wakes up in a hospital in Racoon City and must escape before a nuclear bomb is detonated to eliminate the zombie infestation. Directed by Alexander Witt. Starring Milla Jovovich, Sienna Guillory, and Eric Mabius. 

Resident Evil: Damnation (AKA Biohazard: Damnation) (2012) Leon S. Kennedy investigates the use of Bio-organic weapons in the Eastern Slav Republic in this second movie in the animated Japanese biopunk series. It is followed by Resident Evil: Vendetta (2017). Directed by Makoto Kamiya. Starring Matthew Mercer, Dave Wittenberg, and Wendee Lee.

Resident Evil: Degeneration (AKA Biohazard: Degeneration) (2008) Set in the same universe as the Resident Evil video games, this movie is an animated biopunk Japanese film that focuses on a T-virus infestation at Harvardville Airport. Directed by Makoto Kamiya. Starring Paul Mercier, Alyson Court, and Laura Bailey. It is the first of three films and is followed by Resident Evil: Damnation (2012) and Resident Evil: Vendetta (2017).

Resident Evil: Extinction (2007) Alice joins a group of survivors heading to Alaska across the Nevada desert in part three of the Resident Evil series. Starring Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter, and Oded Fehr and directed by Russell Mulcahy. 

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2016) Alice is betrayed by a clone while attempting to destroy the Umbrella Corporation in the sixth part of the Resident Evil series. An anti-virus has been developed and Alice must retrieve it. Starring Milla Jovovich, Iain Glen, and Ali Larter and directed by Paul W. S. Anderson. 

Resident Evil: Retribution (2012) In the fifth installment of the Resident Evil series, Alice is captured by the Umbrella Corporation and escapes the underwater testing facility in the Extreme North. Directed by Paul W. S. Anderson. Starring Milla Jovovich, Michelle Rodriguez, and Kevin Durand.

Resident Evil: Vendetta (AKA Biohazard: Vendetta) (2017) The third part of the animated Japanese biopunk series follows Chris Redford in his search for an international criminal. Directed by Takanori Tsujimoto. Starring Kevin Dorman, Matthew Mercer, and Erin Cahill.

Resident Zombie (2010) A strange series of undead adventures in this anthology. Directed by Oh Young-doo, Ryu Hoon, Hong Young-geun, and Jang Youn-jung.

Retardead (2008) In this sequel to Monsturd (2003), the same good doctor tries out an intelligence serum at a special education school resulting in zombies. Directed by Rick Popko and Dan West. Starring Rick Popko, Tony Adams, and Michael Allen. 

Return of the Blind Dead (AKA Return of the Evil Dead, El ataque de los muertos sin ojos) (1973) This is the second of four films in the Blind Dead series directed by Amando de Ossorio following the story of the Knights Templar zombies. Starring Tony Kendall, Fernando Sancho, and Esperanza Roy.

Return of the Bloodsucking Nazi Zombies (2010) An android with the capability of turning humans into zombies is sent to Earth. Directed by Mathis Vogel. Starring Alexander Bakshaev. 

The Return of the Living Dead (1985) A warehouse owner unleashes a zombie horde on the town when he accidently opens a chemical drum. Directed by Dan O’Bannon and starring Clu Gulager, James Karen and Don Calfa. 

Return of the Living Dead: Necropolis (2005) Teenagers accidently release a horde of zombies when trying to rescue their friend who has been taken by a corporation that has been using toxic waste from Chernobyl to reanimate the dead. This is the fourth film in the Return of the Living Dead series directed by Ellory Elkayem. Starring Aimee-Lynn Chadwick, Cory Hardrict, and John Keefe. 

Return of the Living Dead Part II (1988) A military truck loses a barrel of toxic material in Louisville. It ends up in the sewer and a group of teenagers find it. Acid rain causes the toxic material to reanimate corpses in the cemetery. Directed by Ken Wiederhorn. Starring Michael Kenworthy, Marsha Dietlein, and Dana Ashbrook. This is the sequel to The Return of the Living Dead (1985). 

Return of the Living Dead: Rave to the Grave (2005) College students that have taken a new recreational drug called “Z” turn into zombies and attack a rave. Starring Peter Coyote, Aimee-Lynn Chadwick, and Cory Hardrict. Directed by Ellory Elkayem. This is the fifth and final film in the Return of the Living Dead series. 

Return of the Living Dead 3 (1993) A teenager attempts to bring his dead girlfriend back to life. Directed by Brian Yuzna. Starring Kent McCord, James T. Callahan, and Sarah Douglas. This is the third film in the Return of the Living Dead series. 

The Returned (AKA Retornados) (2013) A zombie pandemic can be controlled with a daily dose of medication extracted from dead feral zombies. The drug becomes increasingly more difficult to find. Directed by Manuel Carballo. Starring Emily Hampshire, Kris Holden-Ried, and Shawn Doyle.

The Revenant (2009) A soldier that died in Iraq comes back as an articulate zombie that needs blood to survive. He and his best buddy launch a vigilante campaign in Los Angeles in this film directed by D. Kerry Prior. Starring David Anders, Chris Wylde, and Louise Griffiths.

Revenge of the Living Dead Girls (AKA La revanche des mortes vivantes) (1987) Toxic waste dumping causes the zombie apocalypse in France. Directed by Pierre B. Reinhard. Starring Véronique Catanzaro, Kathryn Charly, and Sylvie Novak.

Revenge of the Zombies (1943) A Nazi scientist that has been making zombies in the Louisiana swamplands is challenged by one of his own creations. Starring John Carradine, Gale Storm, and Robert Lowery. Directed by Steve Sekely. 

Revolt of the Zombies (1936) An expedition to find the location of a formula that can turn the dead into zombies is undertaken. Starring Dorothy Stone, Dean Jagger, and Roy D’Arcy and directed by Victor Halperin. 

The Rezort (2015) After the zombies from the zombie apocalypse are contained on an island, they are hunted for sport at the Rezort. Directed by Steve Barker and starring Dougray Scott, Jessica De Gouw, and Martin McCann.  

Rika: The Zombie Killer (2008) (AKA Saikyô heiki joshikôsei: Rika – zonbi hantâ vs saikyô zonbi Gurorian) A high school girl skips school to visit her grandfather and encounters zombies in this Japanese movie directed by Ken’ichi Fujiwara. Starring Mina Arai, Lemon Hanazawa, and Kotoha Hiroyama.

Rise of the Dead (2007) In small town in Ohio, the undead attack! Even the closest of friends cannot help with the evil forces at hand.

Rise of the Zombies (AKA Dead Walking) A virus found in the water causes the zombie apocalypse in San Francisco. Survivors take refuge on Alcatraz Island in this movie directed by Nick Lyon and starring Mariel Hemingway, LeVar Burton, and Danny Trejo.

Rocktober Blood (1984) A rocker executed for murdering his band mates comes back from the dead in this film directed by Beverly Sebastian. Starring Tray Loren, Donna Scoggins, and Cana Cockrell. 

Romeo & Juliet vs. The Living Dead (2009) Juliet falls in love with Romeo who is a zombie in this movie directed by Ryan Denmark. Starring Hannah Kauffmann, Jason Witter, and Mark Chavez.

The Roost (2005) Four friends are stranded on a farm on the way to a Halloween wedding and are attacked by all sorts of creatures including zombies. Starring Tom Noonan, Karl Jacob, and Vanessa Horneff and directed by Ti West.

Santo vs. the Zombies (AKA Santo contra los zombies)(1962) A Mexican wrestler battles a scientist and his band of zombies in this movie directed by Benito Alazraki and starring Santo, Armando Silvestre, and Jaime Fernández. 

Samurai Zombie (AKA Yoroi: Samurai zonbi)(2008) When a man cuts his own head off in a graveyard, he reanimates an ancient Japanese samurai zombie. This South Korean film is directed by Tak Sakaguchi and stars Mitsuru Fukikoshi, Issei Ishida, and Tak Sakaguchi. 

Sars Wars (AKA Khun krabii hiiroh)(2004) The SARS virus has mutated to a zombie virus in Africa. The hero is determined to save the girl while the scientist searching for the cure accidently infects himself. This film from Thailand was directed by Taweewat Wantha and stars Suthep Po-ngam, Supakorn Kitsuwon, and Phintusuda Tunphairao.

Scary or Die (2012) The five zombie shorts in this movie were directed by Bob Badway, Michael Emanuel, and Igor Meglic. Starring Corbin Bleu and Bill Oberst Jr. 

Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island (1998) Mystery, Inc. has disbanded but got together for one last hoorah. They travel to an island and encounter the reanimated corpse of the pirate Morgan Moonscar. Directed by Jim Stenstrum and starring Scott Innes, Billy West, and Mary Kay Bergman.

Scooby-Doo! Return to Zombie Island (2019) The gang heads to an island for a vacation, but find that the location is eerily similar to their last zombie adventures. Directed by Cecilia Aranovich Hamilton and Ethan Spaulding. Starring Matthew Lillard, Frank Welker, and Grey Griffin. 

School-Live! (2019) A zombie outbreak occurs at a high school dormitory in this Japanese film directed by Issei Shibata based on the manga series by Norimitsu Kaihō. Starring Midori Nagatsuki, Nanami Abe, and Wakana Majima.

Schoolgirl Apocalypse (AKA Sailor Suit Apocalypse)(2011) All the men in a small Japanese village have turned into zombies and are attacking the women. A teenage schoolgirl must learn how to survive armed with her bow and an English textbook. Directed by John Cairns and starring Higarino and Mai Tsujimoto.

Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse (2015) Three high school students are trying for their Condor Patch when the zombie apocalypse occurs in this movie directed by Christopher B. Landon and starring Tye Sheridan, Logan Miller, and Joey Morgan.

Seoul Station (2016) This South Korean animated film is the prequel to Train to Busan (2016). A former prostitute is at the Seoul train station when the zombie apocalypse occurs. Directed by Yeon Sang-ho. Starring Ryu Seung-ryong, Shim Eun-kyung, and Lee Joon.

Severed: Forest of the Dead (2005) A logger on a remote Canadian island is injured and the genetically modified tree sap turns him into a zombie. Directed by Carl Bessai and starring Paul Campbell, Sarah Lind, and JR Bourne.

Shadow: Dead Riot (2006) A voodoo-practicing serial killer comes back with a zombie horde and attacks a women’s prison. Directed by Derek Wan. Starring Tony Todd and Carla Greene.

Shaolin vs. Evil Dead (AKA Shao Lin jiang shi)(2004) A mad scientist creates zombies that fight the Shaolin monks. This Japanese film is directed by Douglas Kung and stars Chia-Hui Liu, Siu-Wong Fan, and Man Kit Cheung. 

Shaolin vs. Evil Dead: Ultimate Power (AKA Shao Lin jiang shi tian ji) (2007) A Taoist priest is turned into a vampire and the Master Killer must use his incredible kung fu skills to battle zombies, vampires and sorcerers. This sequel to Shaolin vs. Evil Dead (2004) is directed by Douglas Kung and stars Siu-Wong Fan, Marsha Yuen, and Siu-Ming Lau.

Stacy: Attack of the Schoolgirl Zombies (2001) This Japanese movie is based on a novel by Kenji Ohtsuki. Every girl between the ages of 14 and 16 years old dies and comes back as a zombie. Directed by Naoyuki Tomomatsu. Starring Norman England, Tomoka Hayashi, and Yukijiro Hotaru.

Stag Night of the Dead (2010) After the zombie apocalypse, a bachelor party is arranged at a military bunker where zombies are used in a paintball game. Directed by Neil Jones. Starring Sebastian Street, Rez Kempton, and Jeff Rudom.

Stalled (2013) A maintenance worker is trapped in the women’s bathroom during the zombie apocalypse on Christmas Eve. Starring Dan Palmer. Chris R Wright, and Mark Holden and directed by Christian James. 

State of Emergency (2011) An explosion at a chemical plant turns people into zombies in this film directed by Turner Clay. Starring Jay Hayden, Tori White, and Scott Lilly.

The Stink of Flesh (2005) The story of a small group of survivors, including conjoined twins, after the zombie apocalypse. Directed by Scott Phillips and starring Diva, Kurly Tlapoyawa, and Ross Kelly. 

Sugar Hill (1974) A photographer seeks assistance from the voodoo queen to revenge the murder of her boyfriend in this film directed by Paul Maslansky. Starring Marki Bey, Robert Quarry, and Don Pedro Colley.

The Supernaturals (1986) Dead Confederate soldier zombies seek revenge in this film directed by Armand Mastroianni and starring Maxwell Caulfield, Nichelle Nichols, and Talia Balsam.

Surf II (1984) A scientist wants to rid the beaches of surfers and creates a soda that turns drinkers into zombies. Directed by Randall M. Badat. Starring Eddie Deezen, Linda Kerridge, and Eric Stoltz.

Survival of the Dead (AKA George A. Romero’s Survival of the Dead) (2009) AWOL National Guardsmen head to an island off the coast of Delaware inhabited by feuding Irish families, one of which is keeping its zombie dead safe. Directed by George A. Romero. Starring Alan van Sprang, Kenneth Welsh, and Kathleen Munroe. This is the sixth and final movie in Romero’s Night of the Living Dead series. 

Swamp Zombies (2017) A doctor’s experiments are disposed of in the swamp. Starring Brian Heffron, Jasmin St. Claire, and Pamela Sutch and directed by Len Kabasinski. 


Tales from the Crypt Presents: Ritual (2002) A disgraced doctor takes a caretaking position in Jamaica. Directed by Avi Nesher. Starring Jennifer Grey, Craig Sheffer, and Tim Curry.

Tales of Terror (1962) A series of shorts based on the stories by Edgar Allen Poe. Directed by Roger Corman and starring Vincent Price, Peter Lorre, and Basil Rathbone.

Teenage Zombies (1959) A group of teenagers are captured by a scientist and her zombie slave on a remote island in this film directed by Jerry Warren, starring Katherine Victor, Don Sullivan, and Chuck Niles.

Terror-Creatures from the Grave (AKA 5 tombe per un medium) (1966) The recently deceased owner of a castle was known for bringing back plague victims as zombies for revenge in this Italian movie directed by Domenico Massimo Pupillo. Starring Barbara Steele, Walter Brandi, and Mirella Maravidi. 

They Came Back (AKA Les Revenants) (2004) The recently departed have come back as zombies and attempt to reintegrate into life in a small French town. Starring Géraldine Pailhas, Jonathan Zaccaï, and Frédéric Pierrot and directed by Robin Campillo. 

They Walk (2010) A meteorite shower reanimates the dead. This movie follows five groups of survivors in West Virginia. Directed by Charles House II. Starring David Young, Paul Chresomales, and Jessica McLaughlin.

Tokyo Zombie (AKA Tōkyō Zonbi) Bodies tossed in a toxic waste dump become zombies. Two guys that work at a fire extinguisher factory are Tokyo’s only hope in this Japanese movie directed by Sakichi Sato. Starring Tadanobu Asano, Show Aikawa, and Erika Okuda.

Tombs of the Blind Dead (AKA La noche del terror ciego) (1972) This is the first film in the Blind Dead series directed by Amando de Ossorio. It’s followed by 3 more films, Return of the Blind Dead (1973), The Ghost Galleon (1974) and Night of the Seagulls (1975) all of which feature the blind zombie Templar Knights. Starring Lone Fleming and César Burner.

Toxic Zombies (AKA Bloodeaters, Forest of Fear) (1980) Pot fields are sprayed with a toxin by the government turning users into zombies. Starring Charles McCrann, Beverly Shapiro, and Dennis Helfend and directed by Charles McCrann. 

Trailer Park of Terror (2008) Based on the comic series by Imperium Comics, this movie is directed by Steven Goldmann. Starring Nichole Hiltz, Matthew Del Negro, and Trace Adkins. A youth group shelters in a trailer park after their bus crashes. The undead manager and her trailer trash cronies pick them off one-by-one.

Train to Busan (AKA Busanhaeng) (2016) This South Korean movie is the sequel to Seoul Station (2016). The zombie apocalypse happens while people are on the train to Busan and passengers are in danger. Directed by Yeon Sang-ho. Starring Gong Yoo, Ma Dong-seok, and Jung Yu-mi.

Trip Ubusan: The Lolas vs. Zombies (2017) A girl and her grandparents take a bus trip during the zombie apocalypse in the Philippines. Directed by Mark A. Reyes. Starring Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, and Paolo Ballesteros.

Two Front Teeth (2006) ‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, except – zombie elves! Directed by Jamie Nash and David Thomas Sckrabulis.


Uncle Sam (1996) Master Sergeant Sam Harper is killed by friendly fire in Kuwait and reanimates as a zombie. Directed by William Lustig and starring Isaac Hayes. 

Undead (2003) A meteorite shower turns residents of a small town in Australia into zombies. Directed by The Spierig Brothers. Starring Rob Jenkins, Mungo McKay, and Felicity Mason.

Undead or Alive: A Zombedy (2007) Native American Geronimo cursed all white men before his death, so now they become zombies in the old West. Starring Chris Kattan, James Denton, and Navi Rawat and directed by Glasgow Phillips. 

Undead Pool (AKA Attack Girls’ Swim Team vs. The Undead) (2007) High school teachers and students receive a virus instead of a vaccine and turn into zombies. The swim team is seemingly immune. Directed by Koji Kawano and starring Sasa Handa, Yuria Hidaka, and Ayumi Tokitō.

Urban Decay (2007) A taxi driver investigates the urban legend of Puss Head. Directed by Harry Basil. Starring Dean Cain, Brooke Burns, and Chris Williams. 


Valley of the Zombies (1946) Blood is being stolen from a lab to feed hungry zombies. Directed by Philip Ford. Starring Robert Livingston, Lorna Gray, and Ian Keith. 

Vampires vs. Zombies (AKA Carmilla, the Lesbian Vampire) (2008) Based on the story Carmilla by Sheridan Le Fanu. A girl is infected with a mysterious disease. In the search for the cure, she and her father come across zombies, vampires, and cannibals. Directed by Vince D’Amato. Starring Bonny Giroux, C.S. Munro, and Maritama Carlson.

The Vanguard (2008) The zombie apocalypse coupled with overpopulation and famine. Directed by Matthew Hope. Starring Karen Admiraal, Jack Bailey, and Emma Choy.

Van Helsing (2004) Van Helsing is a monster hunter sent to Transylvania to stop some shenanigans of the undead variety there. Directed by Stephen Sommers and starring Hugh Jackman, Kate Beckinsale, and Richard Roxburgh.

Vengeance of the Zombies (AKA La rebelión de las muertas) (1973) Murdered women in England are turned into zombies by an East Indian. Starring Paul Naschy, Rommy, and Mirta Miller and directed by León Klimovsky.

No Other Way (AKA Vere Vazhi Ille) (2015) A Swamiji on the sixth floor of a shopping complex is trapping souls into dead bodies making zombies. The new security guard must save the world in this Malaysia Tamil language movie directed by M.S. Prem Nath. Starring Denes Kumar, Jasmine Michael, and Sai Prashanth.

Versus (2000) The portal to the other side is found in the Forest of Resurrection and those buried there come back as zombies in this Japanese film directed by Ryûhei Kitamura. Starring Tak Sakaguchi, Hideo Sakaki, and Chieko Misaka.

V/H/S (2012) This film is presented as found footage clips of paranormal events including one featuring a zombie directed by Adam Wingard. 

V/H/S/2 (AKA S-VHS) (2013) Another series of found footage that includes a zombie segment directed by Eduardo Sánchez and Gregg Hale. 

V/H/S: Viral (2014) The third film presented as found footage including one story that contains reanimated corpses directed by Justin Benson and Aaron Scott Moorhead.

Video Dead (1987) Zombies come through the TV in this film directed by Robert Scott. Starring Roxanna Augesen, Rocky Duvall, and Michael St. Michaels.

Wicked Little Things (2006) A mining accident in Pennsylvania trapped three children beneath the rubble in 1913. They come back as zombies. Starring Lori Heuring, Scout Taylor-Compton, and Chloë Grace Moretz. Directed by J.S. Cardone.

Wild Zero (1999) Aliens control a horde of zombies and a Japanese rock bank is the world’s only hope. Directed by Tetsuro Takeuchi. Starring Guitar Wolf, Drum Wolf, and Bass Wolf.

Wyrmwood (AKA Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead) (2014) A meteor shower triggers the zombie apocalypse in the Australian outback. Directed by Kiah Roache-Turner. Starring Jay Gallagher, Bianca Bradey, and Leon Burchill.


Yummy (2019) A zombie outbreak at the plastic surgeon’s in Eastern Europe. Directed by Lars Damoiseaux. Starring Maaike Neuville, Bart Hollanders, and Benjamin Ramon. 


Z airando (AKA Deadman Inferno) (2015) A Japanese transnational organized crime syndicate member is released and ready to pay his debts to society, but first he must rescue the daughter of a friend from an island overrun with zombies. A four-part mini-series prequel was also released called Z island. Directed by Hiroshi Shinagawa and starring Shô Aikawa, Han’nya, and Kunihiro Kawashima.   

Zeder (1983) (AKA Revenge of the Dead) An Italian novelist finds clues to the mystery of K-zones, where death ceases to exist, on his typewriter ribbon. Directed by Pupi Avati. Starring Gabriele Lavia and Anne Canovas. 

Zeta: When the Dead Awaken (2019) An amoeba parasite wreaks havoc and the zombie killer gang Blue River is the only hope for civilization in this Indonesian movie directed by Amanda Iswan and starring Cut Mini Theo, Jeff Smith, and Dimas Aditya.

Zibahkhana (AKA Hell’s Ground) (2007) A problem with the local Pakistaini water supply is the first sign of a zombie invasion in this slasher film directed by Omar Ali Khan and starring Ashfaq Bhatti, Sultan Billa, and Osman Khalid Butt.

ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction (2010) The island town of Port Gamble is hit by a zombie virus outbreak. Directed by Kevin Hamedani. Starring Ramon Isao and Kevin Hamedani.

Zombies (2016) A deadly virus turns the Earth’s inhabitants into zombies. Directed by Hamid Torabpour. Starring Tony Todd, Steven Luke, and Raina Hein.

Zombies (2018) This musical and dance Disney Channel Original Movie is based on the book Zombies & Cheerleaders by David Light and Joseph Raso. A power plant accident transforms half the inhabitants into zombies. School segregation is outlawed and zombies go to high school. Directed by Paul Hoen. Starring Milo Manheim, Meg Donnelly, Trevor Tordjman. 

Zombies 2 (2020) High school drama is more complicated with werewolves and zombies in the mix. This movie is a sequel to Disney’s musical Zombies (2018) directed by Paul Hoen and starring Milo Manheim, Meg Donnelly.

Zombies Anonymous (AKA Last Rites of the Dead) (2006) Hi. My name is Angela and I am a zombie. Starring Jenny Greeman, Joseph DeVito, and Yarusha Jimenez and directed by Marc Fratto.

Zombies: The Beginning (2007) The Marines are sent to restore order on a remote Pacific Island. Directed by Bruno Mattei. Starring Yvette Yzon, Alvin Anson, and Paul Holmes.

Zombies in Tha Hood (2014) The UK government releases a virus designed to wipe out the population of low-income areas that goes horribly wrong. Starring Karlene Bowling, Adam Byford, Victor Carvalho. Directed by Leon Mitchell.

Zombies of Mora Tau (AKA The Dead that Walk) (1957) A ship crew is cursed to protect the cargo in this black and white film directed by Edward L. Cahn and starring Gregg Palmer, Allison Hayes and Autumn Russell.

Zombies on Broadway (AKA Loonies on Broadway) (1945) The cabaret nightclub Zombie Hut wants a real zombie for opening night. Directed by Gordon Douglas. Starring Alan Carney, Bela Lugosi and Wally Brown. 

Zombies Vs. Strippers (AKA Zombie Decadence) (2012) The Tough Titty strip club is overrun by zombies. Starring Circus-Szalewski, Eve Mauro, and Victoria Levine. Directed by Alex Nicolaou.

Zombiepura (2018) A virus breaks out at an army camp. Directed by Jacen Tan. Starring Alaric, Benjamin Heng, Rayve Zen. 

Zone of the Dead (AKA Apocalypse of the Dead) (2009) A mass grave is discovered at Chernobyl. A deadly biohazard agent is being transferred by train and leaks. The combination results in zombies. Directed by Milan Konjević. Starring Ken Foree, Kristina Klebe, and Emilio Roso.

Zoombies (2016) Eden Wildlife Zoo experiences a monkey zombie outbreak. Directed by Glenn R. Miller. Starring Ione Butler, Andrew Asper, and Marcus Anderson.
