HOLDING THEIR OWN VII: PHOENIX STAR
Treachery has made Bishop an outlaw and rocked the Alliance to its foundation. Forced into exile while his friends strive to clear his name, Bishop and his family encounter the best and worst mankind has to offer while they travel the badlands. The human animal is trying to regroup, striving to fill the vacuum in leadership left after the collapse and form productive societies.
But it’s not easy. The lack of basic necessities has weakened the resolve of many, allowing age-old tendencies to cloud the minds of men. Those that do step up and take the helm of governance may have alternative motives and hidden agendas.
Follow the adventures of Bishop, Terri, and Hunter as they seek refuge, trying to survive while their friends uncover the truth and keep the Alliance whole.
"This installment of Holding Their Own is a top notch finish to the series of seven books. Book six ended rather abruptly, this one picked up right where it left off, and there was no problem with the ending of this one. Bishop and Terri, along with their new baby, had to beat a hasty retreat, being the victims of a treacherous false flag incident, and headed into a new series of adventures rivaling any they had already encountered. This left their friends, on both sides of the fight, to unravel the spider's web and get some honor back in their name. This book was really hard to put down, and even with clients to see in between, I managed to finish it in one day. Joe has really honed his writing skill and I would say is right up there with the top names you find on the best seller lists, plus I like his political slant better than most of them. Well worth the time and money."
